You can also choose to record events (for example only goals) on the stream, but not to switch on the Livestream. So you’ll collect the data for the statistics, but don’t share anything.
On which devices can I use Coach Amigo?
Coach Amigo has been developed for iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. We recommend iOS version 9 or higher ( iPhone 4s and newer models). Our Android app works from version 6.1 (Marshmallow) or higher. We are constantly working on improvements, if you run into a mistake: please let us know!
At this moment the app is not yet optimized for iPad.
Is there a fee for using Coach Amigo?
Coach Amigo is completely free. That’s because at this moment we’re “beta”. Therefore we don’t charge you for anything. Someday we will have to start generating revenue to keep the platform developing … This will be when the complete platform is launched. The intention is to switch to a subscription and/or prepaid payment system. In addition, a free version will remain available.
But for now, we put a lot of love and hard work into Coach Amigo… and we’d like to ask the same of our users. So feel free to provide us with your feedback!
Which languages does Coach Amigo support?
Coach Amigo is first launched in Dutch and English. If you’d like to use Coach Amigo in English: please go to “rules & options” and change the preferred language. That’s it.
Moreover, we also love German, French, Norwegian, Danish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Uzbek (and a lot more). In other words, we definitely want to develop more languages.

Who is responsible for the development of Coach Amigo?
Wow. Great question! Behind Coach Amigo is the team of Free amigos. These are a bunch of professionals in the field of app and web development. And besides that, they are great designers and nice people. Don’t be surprised hearing they have a lot of relevant experience: Coach Amigo literally started on the pitch every Saturday & Sunday morning!
Can I manage my team on another device?
When you’ve created players and your team, you want everything to be safely stored. Therefore you create an account in the Coach Amigo app. So in case your phone spontaneously falls into the water … or is run over by a 30-ton truck: no worries! Just grab the first phone you see and log in with your credentials (of course: the app has to be installed ;-). And voila: you can start right away. All your data is neatly loaded into the app. As if nothing happened.
How many teams can I manage with Coach Amigo?
You can manage one team at a time. An account is (currently) connected to one team only. But! What if you’re also coaching another team?
Make sure you are logged in with ‘team A’ (in other words: that you have created an account, and everything is neatly stored in the cloud). Log out when you have reinsured yourself about this. We don’t want things to go wrong, of course!
After logging out the app is “empty”. Now you can create a new account. After this, you can start creating players and set up another team (team “B”). This team is also neatly stored in the cloud.
You can continue to manage both teams by switching between these two (or three or four or …) accounts.
It’s good to know that we are working on a multi-user system. When it’s launched multiple coaches can manage multiple teams.
Is Coach Amigo too difficult for me?
When you first start you’ll have to find your way. But we’ve seen that going through the quick-start instructions will help you get started easily. And once you’re up and running, we’ve experienced that most coaches only want more…
Coach Amigo helps you preparing your matches, youth coaches can apply fair and balanced substitutions, everything is stored safely and you can enjoy an expanding range of statistics.
But most importantly, you look like a “coach 3.0”. And we haven’t even talked about the Livestream!
Date entry causes app to crash
When you start the app for the first time and your regional setting is set to ‘United Kingdom’, the app crashes when you try to enter a date for a new game.
We have found this bug, but for now, as a “workaround”, you can proceed as follows:
-Turn the language of Coach Amigo into Dutch (or to English, rules and options)
-Create a new match, try to set the date (it should work)
– Switch back to English (or back to Dutch)
-Create a match again
We’re working on a permanent solution!
